For my second session in the workshop, I was laser cutting parts for my set for (DESIGN FOR STAGE) to do this I made designs in adobe illustrator and then has them cut out. Initially, I had the designs drawn up as a technical drawing for my fence that would be placed at the front of the set then this drawing was transported to Adobe Illustrator to make the final drawing then exported to the laser cutter

I also had the front of my house and its backing support pieces cut out on the laser cutter, doing this on 3mm MDF board was chosen as it was the standard for laser cutting and as this was on a small scale I didn't want it to be too thick. After the laser cutting was done I took the pieces to be cut out and then spray painted in the workshops spraypaint room.

I was really having fun learning how to laser cut as the quality of my work was noticeably different. This project and learning to laser cut was really beneficial and has added a huge new skills I can implement into my work.
