In this session, we were being given another photoshop tutorial, we were editing this ''QUAD CINEMA'' sketch. To start with we went into an image and then to levels where we adjusted the white balance, this helped to remove pencil marks and whiten the page background as it was not the best quality beforehand.

Next, we looked at how to colour sketches in on photoshop, we started with by duplicating the background layer, setting this new duplicate as a multiply and then we could colour in without messing up the original image underneath.

Next, we cleared the history, removing all of the colouring in I had done. Next, we added a new layer above the render layer and filled this setting it to be a greyscale layer.

Next, we used the paintbrush tool on a large brush with a very low sensitivity to give the appearance of a glow effect for the star this was a really useful way of adding depth into a sketch and really stepping up the quality of the work we can produce as we could giver a wide verity of different effects with this style of colouring in.

Next, we were shown and if you hold shift after clicking and then it draws a line and sop for something such as strip lights that are underneath the sign this was a handy trick I never knew you could do in photoshop.

Finally, we were given another sketch of a series of cubes, we reproduce the same steps as before of white balancing the image and then greyscaling it while retaining the master image safely.

After that, we simply masked the images and then used the polygonal lasso tool to go over the preexisting shapes and then we could full these parts with colour.

This session taught me so many new things that I can use in future work I had not done much with masking and so this was a nice place to start with using and implementing it. Using levels, white balancing and so many different layers that added a new level of complexity that I didn't expect. Some of the things in the session did go over my head and I had to really focus on doing this step by step as to not be overloading but even with that being said I think this was one of the most informative CAD sessions to date.
