WEEK 6 - 7 REFLECTION AND TUTORIALS

For these two weeks, we have not had any teaching and so instead I've taken this opportunity to progress with my blog and really nail down the style that I'm trying to achieve.

My goal is for a professional but easy-to-read portfolio that simp,y highlights my work and makes it very easy to see what is what.

From my InDesign tutorial, I gained a great deal of knowledge on-page setup and design presentation for my portfolio.

As you can see on the left are the original pages from my first draft of the portfolio they are quite honestly terrible.

In Reflection (if you pardon the pun) I would have taken more time with initial placement etc however this has been a valuable learning experience as my mindset at the time of making this early on was to just get the content down but this really isn't enough and it requires much more thought than I initially thought it would. And has really made me think about my process of working and if it really is the right way for me as a creative.

Initially, the pages were also very cramped as I was trying to fit in too much content. This has been reduced by deleting some of the work that was not my best and then adding in additional pages to spread the load of the content over the portfolio giving a more fluid reading experience for whoever will be viewing my work.
