OBSERVATION AND REPRESENTATION - WEEK 3

For this week I wanted to progress my project by developing the story of peel park and how my characters and drawings can influence the park.

I chose to make a series of images of my character who was going around peel park causing acts of vandalism, placing graffiti that I had found around peel park and using what was already there editing it in photoshop and then placing in my character in these edited photos.

I used a variety of places around the park to try and show widespread damage caused to the environment as the story I am trying to create is one of how the park begins to fight back against all of these problems. I think this will allow me to have a good amount of creative freedom, while also having the ability to tell a story that makes sense. I wanted to use the graffiti around the park as it is the kind of vandalism that is similar to how my character looks, messy, sometimes minimal, sometimes colourful.

My next step will be to implement some of the photos I have taken of the park, using the drawings that I have made as I would like to show what the park is trying to protect and why it is important to the park to keep it safe.
