INITIAL DESIGN OF BAND SET

For my initial design of the set i loaded up sketch up and got to work.

Using the above mood boards for reference I got to work designing my general stage and the key thematic pieces to help you think Vegas Casino.

In the centre of the stage you can see a giant slot machine, this is the focal point of the stage and is used to highlight the lead singer, i chose a giant slot machine for the reason that its what you first see when you walk into a casino in vegas and using the archway gives somewhere the audience can see then from at all points.

The set also uses the different games tables as places for the different band members to be placed at. A roulette wheel for the drummer, Blackjack table for the keyboard, A fanned Deck of cards on the back right for the guitarists to be standing against.

This first draft based of my visual research has started to take shape, it encompases the theme i have set out and gives space still for the performers to move on stage and keep up the stage presence.
