Following the InDesign tutorial, I was following along for tips and tricks during this as I have a generally good understanding of how to use the software. In the beginning I found that document set up was the most useful thing. Since I have habit of using a relatively simple document set up and adjusting as I go this was a good reminder to do it properly from the start.
Remembering to use the bleed and slugs along side with gutters and margins will help me to structure my work in future more effectively to make to readability simple and easy. using this glossary of terms when I open InDesign in the future.

The latter part of the tutorial showing good ways to structure the document using columns and margins was a great to see an example of a good way to layout a project file.

overall these tutorials are a great refresher on keeping the basics always in my mind as they improve the overall quality immensely.
