To begin this session, we were looking into creating nets, we went into the preferences in Illustrator, changed the guidelines to 10mm and then the subdivisions to 10 as this would allow us to work on a grid-style measurement which would allow for working on nets much easier as we could accurately design them on mm scale. Next, we added guidelines to keep our designs to the right sizing.

Next, we set to work creating a net that has tabs that could be folded and actually made, we were aiming to add an additional area around the whole net as to allow us to have the surplus space to cut around this would give the net a clean and professional outcome.

Next, we began to add and work on the graphic elements of the next we were tasked to make as we were currently working on the ''design for script'' project and was thinking about potentially making a cereal box I wanted to try testing a mock-up of something like a Weetabix style box. This was much harder to do on illustrator than I thought and ended up looking not very good at all as I was unable to get the right look and was not used to manipulating images in illustrator. However, I did make the overall shape and some design changes from the original so I was happy that I had progressed somewhat in this session.
