As part of this year we have been tasked with furthering our development of our portfolio. My goal with this new portfolio is to show off the new 3D modeling and manufacturing techniques I have learned along side with demonstrating a higher understanding of the equipment I can use. Such as my fluent 3D modeling and 3D printing skills which have become part of the staple style of my workflow.
I redesigned a large portion of my portfolio, colour scheme wise and content wise. I felt that keeping around 70% of the work from the previous year was acceptable as is still some of the best quality content i have produced. However by doing so the new work that was included needed to be above and beyond the previous content to create a more structured flow.
From my title page new the legibility of my contact info is immediately much clearer and useful. While the addition of a contents would allow an employer to navigate straight to whatever they need to see.

The content and colour scheme reflects my newly designed logo and CV. This ensures a clearly communicated design style and if I can create that for my own work then surely can be done for my professional work also.
I chose to structure the first 3 pages of my portfolio with my three strongest projects not only to set the first impression and instantly show the reader three practical applications of my skills and with project that could be potentially asked to complete in a real industry setting as prop bottles and labels, High quality Film standard Prop weapons and a sclae model of a float that could be made for a production.
Overall I'm really happy with my new portfolio the aesthetic is much clearer and define. My logo and branding is more heavily prominent, and there is an instant wow factor that I felt the previous portfolio lacked as most readers make a judgment in the first 15 seconds
